Online Check-in - How to Connect to Alloggiati Web
In Italy, all accommodation providers must report guest information to the local police within 24 hours of arrival. Holidu simplifies this legal requirement by offering an integrated online check-in feature that connects directly to Alloggiati Web, the official portal managed by the Italian State Police.
Legal Requirements for Guest Registration in Italy
Under Article 109 of the Consolidated Law on Public Security, all hosts—including holiday rental providers—are legally required to comply with guest registration regulations. If a stay is shorter than 24 hours, guest details must be communicated upon arrival.
Who Must Comply?
All types of accommodation providers, including holiday rental hosts, must comply with Italian guest reporting regulations.
Information Required
Hosts must collect and report the following details for the main guest:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Passport or ID number
- Date of arrival
- Place of birth
Only the main guest must provide the type and number of their ID document. Additional guests must provide basic personal information (full name, date of birth, nationality), but document numbers are not required.
Failure to report guest information may result in penalties, including fines or imprisonment.
Document Verification and Guestbooks
In compliance with Italian law, hosts are required to verify the identification of their guests in person at check-in. The guestbook will display complete document information for only one guest per booking, while the document fields for others will appear as empty. You can download guestbooks for your records at any time through the Holidu platform.
How Holidu Supports This Process
Holidu provides an integrated guest check-in feature that helps you meet legal requirements with less manual work. The feature automates data collection, simplifies reporting, and supports compliance by notifying you if mandatory information is missing.
The system:
- Automates data collection through a check-in link sent to guests
- Simplifies reporting by transferring collected information to Alloggiati Web
- Supports compliance by alerting you to missing mandatory information
Please note: You must manually upload guest details via the Alloggiati Web portal to complete the registration process.
